Yeah, I did it. I asked my girlfriend Val to marry me and she actually said “yes!” I bought the ring a few days ago and had planned on proposing sometime this weekend. The Road Hammers were in the studio and we had just about finished up an interview when one of the guys mentioned something about barely being able to use a cell phone. THAT led me down the path to making fun of Val. I call her “Amish” because she’s sooo not into phones, electronics, electricity, modern medicine, you name it. Anyway, I had my backpack sitting on the chair behind me while the Road Hammers were performing. I caught a glimps of Val behind me and turned to find her hand in MY bag. Yes, the bag with the ring. I figured I was busted anyway so I pulled it out and the rest is history. Click the podcast to the right of this post to hear how it all went down.
