First day of school is right around the corner
I can tell you right now I’m going to be a mess on September 4th. Aidan is 4 years old and will be headed to pre-k. His first day at school. I just can’t imagine my little guy stepping onto a bus and driving away from me. It seems like just yesterday he was using the mattress in his crib as a trampoline. Now he’s off to the big boy world of school The one thing having a child really makes me aware of is the passage of time. Before Aidan was in my life, I couldn’t really tell you when ANYTHING happened. But since he arrived, I can tell you when events happened by thinking about him, and how big (or little) he was at the time. I don’t know how I’m going to get thru that day…it’s a benchmark I’m not looking forward to. So if you turn on the radio next week and I sound a little down, you’ll know why.

Billy,
I still have tears when my 11 year old gets on the bus the 1st day of school. The 1st day he started Headstart-(Pre-school), I cried for 2 hours after he got on the bus. I was sooooo sick till he got back home. I wouldn’t let my husband take a picture with me in it either. It’s not only a Mom thing; but a Dad thing too. Aiden will do just fine, but we always worry about them. I still do and I know exactly where he’s going to school. Have a great 1st day of school and Congrats on your proposal to your girlfriend. You deserve it and so does Aiden.
