The future of cell phones
The last time I was at an AT & T store I asked the guy behind the counter “what’s the coolest phone coming down the line.” Without hesitation he told me about the Nokia Morph. At this point, it’s just a concept phone. The technologies to mass produce such a device don’t really exist yet. But someday in the future, plastics and electronic technology will allow us to stretch and bend items, and they’ll still work. If you look at the picture above, you’re not looking at 4 different devices, you are looking at one. The same one that you can bend and stretch and twist. The big green semi-circle is actually the phone just bent into a circle so you won’t need to carry it in a pocket or hanging off your belt. Just wrap it around your wrist like a watch and off you go. The silver circle is a bluetooth headset that you can just clip onto the phone so it will always be with you. I can’t tell you how many of those things I’ve lost! It will be interesting to see what other applications this new nano technology can be used for. Portable TV? Laptops? GPS units?
