Brad Paisley is notorius for pulling pranks on his tourmates while they are performing. The tables were turned the other night, and Jewel layed down a serious PUNK on Brad. About halfway thru Brad’s set, the band leaves the stage and it’s just Brad and his guitar. One of the songs he does is a duet with Jewel. The duet happened, sorta. She was singing off stage while her manager, dressed in a wig and short shorts, walked up and lip synched with Brad. Needless to say, Brad had trouble singing because he was laughing so hard. Hilarity ensued. I wouldn’t try that on Trace Adkins. In a recent interview he talked about how seriously he takes performing, and thinks it’s almost insulting to those watching the concert. I think it’s absolutely awesome when you catch a special moment like that. I bet the people who witnessed it might not remember much else about the show a few years down the road. Keep up the good work Brad and Jewel!! 

   Ever wonder what happens backstage at a concert? I brought my video camera to the Bucky Covington show to give you a little glimpse. First, the autograph session. Then you’ll see, unedited, what happens during a tv interview. You’ll be surprised to see how much of an interview DOESN’T make it onto TV!

    This video was shot Labor day weekend of 2002 at WBEE’s concert in Dansville. I didn’t realize just how much I missed Bill Coffee until I came across this video. Look for Hausmann kissin’ on all the ladies, T-Bird being, well, T-Bird, and quite of few shots of our good friend Bill Coffee. Oh yeah, and some footage of Rascal Flatts as well!!
